Celebration of Student Writing w/Andrea Scarpino

Wednesday, May 02, 2018

Join us for a celebration as we listen to original readings from this session’s flash fiction and scriptwriting students on Wednesday, May 16, 6:30PM at Next Door @ The Novel Neighbor at 7905 Big Bend Boulevard in Webster Groves. We will also be graced with a reading of poetry by our guest writer, Andrea Scarpino. This event is open and free to the public, so if you’ve been curious about what we do over here at STLWW, this is a wonderful way to check us out. Refreshments will be served and a good time had by all–we promise!

Andrea Scarpino is the author of the poetry collections Once Upon Wing Lake (Four Chambers Press, 2017), What the Willow Said as it Fell (Red Hen Press, 2016) and Once, Then (Red Hen Press, 2014). She received a PhD in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University, and an MFA from The Ohio State University. She has published in numerous journals, is co-editor of Nine Mile Magazine, and served as Poet Laureate of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula 2015-2017. Her upcoming edited anthology is Undocumented: Great Lakes Poets Laureate on Social Justice (MSU Press).
