Spring/Summer Preview

Monday, January 25, 2016

Already looking forward to warmer days? So are we, especially since it will bring with it several great seminars and workshops. Come April, we’ll offer a special daytime fiction workshop for those who work alternative schedules, are stay-at-home parents, retirees, or for whom a daytime offering is preferable. On Saturday, April 16, we’ll host a special half-day seminar with writer and publisher, Lisa Miller, on tension and scene building in fiction. In June, a unique 3-part seminar called Paths to Publishing will be offered on Saturday, June 4, 11, and 18 with writer/publisher Kristina Blank Makansi; writer and online publishing guru, Patrick Harned; and literary agent and former editor at Knopf and Vintage/Anchor Books, Margaux Wexberg Sanchez. June will also include a multi-week, traditional fiction workshop for adults.  In July, we’ll be offering our special workshop for the younger set called Teens Who Write with writer, Myrta Vida. This workshop is perfect for teens who love to write and are serious about improving their creative writing skills and who may even want to polish a manuscript to submit for publication.

Workshop registration for summer courses will be available in March, but registration for the April offerings will be made available later in February. Questions? Contact us here or at You don’t want to miss a thing!
